As a former Director of Careers at Saїd Business School, at the University of Oxford, Derek has many years’ experience in the management of careers guidance to students, and of working with employers from all sectors to understand their hiring needs and build long-term relationships with them.
He had overall responsibility for careers provision for around 500 post-graduate students at the business school and ensured students could access expert advice across all aspects of the job search, including via individual coaching. He consults for multiple universities including Imperial College Business School, Henley Business School, Lancaster University Management School, Surrey Business School, Kingston Business School and New College of the Humanities.
Derek began his career in banking and finance and worked as Head of Campus Recruiting at Barclays Capital before joining Saїd Business School in 2008. He is much in demand for the provision of careers and recruitment advice to higher education institutions and their students.
