Kate is a qualified executive coach who brings experience from a wide-ranging career in professional, managerial and entrepreneurial roles. Kate has coached graduates starting work and individuals looking for a career change. She is effective in helping them to identify what they want in their next position, and how they might go about finding it. She has been described as very insightful, authentic and able to show real empathy and understanding without being judgemental. Kate’s coaching style is an insight-focused approach which explores the person, role and organisation. By providing a safe space and really listening, whilst asking challenging questions and being curious about feelings and thoughts, this approach helps individuals understand patterns of thinking and behaviours which they might not be aware of, so they are able to deal with work issues more strategically and productively in the future. Prior to coaching, Kate worked in the insolvency and turnaround consulting division of an international accountancy firm before moving into the tax department, leaving as senior manager. She co-founded an investment management company and has also started the online division of a property auction company. She has been involved with education, mental health and domestic abuse charities and volunteers to teach mathematics to primary school children. She is a member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC) and also holds a Tavistock Consulting certificate in executive coaching. She has an Economics degree from the University of Cambridge, is a qualified chartered accountant, tax advisor and investment manager.
