Marcus Day

Marcus has been in the sports marketing and management industry for more than 25 years working in athlete management, sponsorship sales, brand marketing, rights activation and ‎event management. He has developed long term relationships with the major companies and a proven track record of success in senior level commercial management in the sports industry.

Marcus spent 8 years at IMG as a Client Manager in the European Golf Division. Subsequently, he joined 4sports & Entertainment, a Swiss based sports management agency, to launch and manage a global golf business. Over 10 years, 4sports grew to managing 35 golfers globally and promoting 2 European Tour events. He has managed more than 60 golfers including Justin Rose, Adam Scott, Trevor Immelman, Paul Lawrie, Francesco Molinari, Edoardo Molinari, Nick Dougherty and Peter Hanson. Highly skilled in career planning and managing high performance teams. He has negotiated and secured commercial contracts for his clients with more than 100 companies across multiple industry sectors globally.

Marcus is the founder of Motus Sports Management managing professional golfers including Edoardo Molinari, Ryder Cup Vice-Captain, and advising brands on commercial strategy. He also has expertise in working with start-ups and raising funds in the sports sector.

Marcus has also been Commercial Director at tech start-up, Guided Knowledge (3D motion capture) and Commercial Director for the Professional Cricketer’s Association and Board Director of the Professional Cricketer’s Trust. He is currently a Non-Executive Trustee of The Golf Foundation.
