Mark Thistlethwaite’s first career was in the Royal; Navy where he trained as an air engineer. He then spent five years as an anti-submarine warfare observer hunting Russian submarines in the cold war, before working in the Ministry of Defence, heading up the training organisation at Britannia Royal Naval College and spending time as a career manager. His second career has just finished in 2024 in the defence and aerospace sector carrying out international business development, opening markets in Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates, where he lived for four years, and Canada. His working life has been “all about the people”, helping others develop, grow himself, put round pegs in round holes and make people feel valued. Mark is looking forward to his third career continuing this journey with Finito and their candidates.
