Ross Power is Operations Lead & Product Manager at cheqd, a new blockchain start-up with a mission to create the go-to incentivised decentralised identity network for digital credentials which rewards all parties in the ecosystem, whether institutional or individual. He sees this as crucial to moving from silos of data to a new world where data is controlled by the individual and new, never before possible business models are possible.
Over the past 4 years he has worked across the tech innovation lifecycle, from product strategy to implementation, with Accenture, R3, and other FTSE100s. He gains pleasure in the development of best practices and ways of working that create strong organisation and structure whilst nurturing relationships, and believes success in any relationship, whether personal or business, comes down to connection. He has experience in Finance, Operations, Product Management, and People Experience, and is now combining these in his role at cheqd.
Aside from his work at cheqd, Ross is passionate about education and the future of work. He speaks on the topic of future of work and how we can and must strengthen our connection with one another. He is also a school governor and engages in the education sector through these means. Ross, although relatively young, has experienced a range of jobs and approaches to work, from a more ‘corporate’ company with 500,000 employees, to being self-employed, and now he works somewhere in-between in a small but fast-growing blockchain start-up. He has experience in coaching and mentoring students and graduates, speaking to over 400 new joiners whilst at Accenture on personal branding, networking and pursuing one’s interests
